What Can Be Measured with an LCR Meter? (035148)
An LCR meter performs impedance measurements for a varied number of applications. An LCR meter is no longer used exclusively for component testing of inductors, resistors and capacitors. The LCR meter is employed in the electrical characterization of gases, chemicals, powders and other dielectric materials.

Characterization of a Sensor with a 1920 Series Precision LCR Meter (035171)
One of our customers needed a simple way to measure the resonance of an electo-dynamic loudspeaker as well as the DCR of the speaker coils. This can be done using an LCR meter. The measurements had to be taken several times a day over a several month period. This application notes describes this procedure with the use of the 1920 Series Precision LCR meter.

Low ESR Capacitor Measurements (035112)
What is ESR and how does it affect capacitance measurements? Investigate technology and trends that have drive the manufacturers of capacitors with lower equivalent series resistance. Factors affecting total loss and methods for making accurate capacitance measurements are discussed.

Dielectric Strength Testing of External Cardiac Defibrillators: IEC60601-2-4 (035126)
IEC 60601-2-4, the particular standard for Cardiac Defibrillators, which requires dielectric testing for safety purposes. Dielectric testing can be performed with an lcr meter or a hipot tester. This application note discusses Clauses 20.2, 20.3 and 20.4 for IEC 60601-2-4 that are exceptions to the general standard, IEC 60601-1. Detailed connection diagrams and test voltage graphs are included.
