3rd Regulatory Outlook Article Published in MDDI
|
|
"Leakage Current Standards Simplified", the third article in the current Regulatory Outlook series was published in MDDI's July 2004 issue. Co-authored by Leo Eisner of Eisner Safety Consultants, Robert Brown of QuadTech and Dan Modi of Alcon Research, this article details each of the leakage current tests in IEC 60601-1. If the terms Earth, Enclosure, Patient, Mains on Applied Parts, Mains on SIP/SOP and Patient Auxiliary leakage current are part of your vocabulary, read on to discover what leakage current is and why its measurement is so critical in electrical medical products.
