LATEST NEWS:
Are you attending Coil Winding October 31st - November 3rd at the Cincinnati Convention Center? Stop by booth #478 where we'll be featuring our NEW 1900 Series of Passive Component Testers. These high performance testers were specifically designed for production testing of inductors, capacitors, and resistors.
USEFUL WEBSITE:
Martindale Online Calculator: This website has over 11,000 FREE Engineering Calculators available online.
WHAT'S NEW?
QuadTech has been making great strides in bringing our customers a new and improved service program. Not only have we added new service features, and increased turnaround time, but we've also hired a new Service Representative, Tom Gorsuch, who will see that our customers receive the utmost service from QuadTech. For more in-depth details on our service, or call Tom directly at 800-253-1230 ext. 227.
APPLICATION NOTES:
Calibrating Impedance Meters Using Resistance Standards
As impedance measurements necessitate highly accurate instrumentation, calibration of this precise equipment is periodically required to maintain that degree of accuracy. Has your production line ever been shut down due to equipment being sent out to certified calibration labs? Why disrupt your production line when you can calibrate your impedance meter with precision resistance standards? Imagine no down time or added cost for annual calibration. And what if the process was automated? The QuadTech 7000 Series provides such relief to the calibration consternation!
Applying DC Bias to Inductors with the 1910 Inductance Analyzer
If you've got inductors that generally operate under high current conditions (such as those used in power supplies), then your looking for a way to test them under real-time operating conditions. Biasing the inductor with a DC source that forces the current through the coil will simulate normal operation. The 1910 Inductance Analyzer is capable of internal generation of up to 1A DC Bias and when combined with the 1320 Bias Current Source, external generation of up to 20A is possible.
Ground Bond, Ground Continuity and Earth Continuity
Bond? Continuity? What's the difference? Aren't all ground tests the same? Isn't it enough to know that the instrument is connected to ground? Neh, neh, neh!!! It's the integrity or strength of that ground connection that can make the difference between safe and sorry. Under an actual fault condition is the ground connection in your product strong enough to handle 20-30A until the fuse blows or circuit breaker trips? Not so sure? Better do a bond test!
Guardian 2500 Demo Guide
What a versatile instrument the Guardian 2500 Series hipot tester is! With all its features such as Real, Imaginary and Total current measurement, continuous leakage current monitoring, insulation resistance measurement and ground continuity measurements just how easy is it to program and use? Deceptively simple. The intuitively designed menu makes programming easy and storage/recall of tests provides fast setup. Automation via remote, IEEE 488 or RS232 interfaces can also significantly increase throughput.
