The Guardian 6100 Plus combines six measurement equipment instruments in one. The Guardian has AC Hipot, DC Hipot, an Insulation Resistance Tester (IR Tester), Ground Bond, Leakage Current/Functional Run and Open/Short measurements for precision equipment electrical leakage testing all in one instrument from one connection.

The Guardian 6100 Plus, like the 6000 Plus, is the first in instrument in the industry that has safety analyzers with revolutionary Twin-Port™ technology. The Guardian with Twin Port-Technology can perform simultaneous ground bond and hipot testing. Performing both Hipot testing and Ground Bond tests at the same time can save time and improves efficiency. Fully automate the production line with CaptivATE Software and create a global database to archive data and print test reports on demand. Filter and plot test data to analyze historical trends. Achieve paperless testing and create electronic signatures for compliance with Regulatory Agencies.

With 20A input current capability, the G6100 Plus performs Functional Run Tests while monitoring the Voltage, Current or Power (VA). An optional transformer is available that allows Ground Bond Testing up to 40A. The G6100 Plus also performs Earth, Enclosure, Patient and Patient Auxiliary Leakage Current measurements using 1 of 5 human body impedance models. Tests performed under normal conditions, reverse power line or fault conditions, open ground and open neutral are implemented automatically by the Guardian 6100 Plus, without operator intervention.

Test sequences can be programmed to "Pause", "Continue on Fail" or "Fail Retest". The programmable "Fail Lock" feature provides the capability to stop the instrument on a FAIL and mandate a Production Supervisor password be entered. The 6100 Plus also offers password protected "Key Lock" to prevent an operator from inadvertently altering test conditions. Test results of each test step are clearly indicated on the large front panel LCD display and an overall Pass/Fail indication is provided based on programmed limits.

Part of the Guardian line, the G6100 Plus includes many safety features for protection of the operator, device under test and the instrument. In addition to front panel lockout, the G6100 Plus provides fast HV cutoff (<0.5ms), fast DUT discharge (0.2s) and adjustable DUT discharge from 0.05-5.1kV.

For versatility, QuadTech also offers a many different 6100 plus accessories such as test leads, adapters for connecting to 115V/220V corded products, printer interface, line isolation transformers and automation software. Also available are High Voltage/High Current external scanners which increase the number of test channels for multi-point or multi-device testing.
