QuadTech has just introduced its newest product line - Power Sources! QuadTech's line includes 3 power source series:

31000 Series AC Programmable Power Sources

The 31000 Series AC power source has state-of-the-art PWM technology and power factor correction circuit. The power source series yields yield higher efficiency and delivers more output power. It is capable of delivering up to 6 times of peak current compared to its maximum rated current making it ideal for devices with high inrush current. The AC+DC modes extend the applications to not only pure AC voltage but AC testing with DC offset for laboratory applications. Advanced DSP technology enables precise and high speed measurements such as RMS voltage, RMS current, true power, frequency, power factor, and current crest factor.
Software is available for control and data acquisition in laboratory applications. The 31015, 31020 and 31040 power supplies have been integrated in to QuadTech’s CaptivATE Automation Software for use in production line applications such as functional run tests, line leakage testing in combination with electrical safety testing including ground bond, continuity and hipot.
The 31000 Series AC Programmable Sources are an excellent alternative to Eglar’s Continuous Wave Programmable Series.

42000 Series DC Programmable Power Sources

The 42000 Series programmable DC Power Supplies include 9 different models ranging from 600W to 5000W and up to 120A and 600V. Due to their constant power operating envelope a single instrument can provide both high voltage/low current AND low voltage/high current thereby reducing the number of supplies needed in typical ATE applications. The graph below shows the advantage in a wider voltage and current range over conventional DC Power Supplies of the same power output.

The 42000 Series Programmable DC Power Supplies has a unique capability - the ability to create complex DC transient waveforms. This capability allows devices to be tested to DC voltage dropouts, spikes and other voltage variations making them an ideal choice for airborne device testing, inverter testing and other devices which will experience voltage interrupts. Applications include DC/DC Converter & Inverter voltage drop test, engine startup simulation, battery automated charging, and electronic product life cycle testing.
The 42000 Series of DC Programmable Power Supplies compares extremely well against the Agilent N5700 Series and Xantrex XFR Series.

43000 Series DC Modular Power Source

The 43000 family of Modular DC Power supplies offers 5 types of power modules ranging from 1V to 150V, current from 10A to 90A, and offers two mainframe type of six and three slots. The six slot mainframe can contain up to six power modules in parallel operation for 9KW power output. The 43000 DC Modular Power Supplies can easily parallel with up to fourteen mainframes for a total of 120KW with current sharing and CAN bus control for bulk power applications.
The Modular DC Power Supplies are very cost effective with high power density and low current ripple. These instruments have be designed for burn-in applications such as DC-DC converters, power inverters, notebook computers, battery chargers and many other types of electronic devices.
Modern power factor correction circuitry is incorporated in the 43000 modular DC power source providing an input power factor above 0.98 to meet the IEC requirements. This PFC correction circuitry not only reduces the input current draw but also greatly reduces generation of input current harmonics. Optional graphic Soft Panels and USB control allow for control and monitoring of the power system using an easy to use graphical interface.
