QuadTech engineers Jeff St. Onge and Robert M. Brown have authored articles featured in publications in June and August, respectively.

The June issue of MD&DI featured “Leakage-Current Testing for Patient-Monitoring”, an article on medical device testing and electrical safety test requirement. The article, written by Jeff St. Onge, Chief Engineer, QuadTech Medical Division, specifically discusses the complicated testing requirements of IEC 60601-2-49. Read what St. Onge has to say in his article on medical device testing. St. Onge also authored a whitepaper on IEC60601-1 3rd Edition Leakage Current Differences, which ties into his MD&DI article. St. Onge’s white paper covers leakage current and electrical safety test standards of IEC60601-1 3rd Edition.

Robert M. Brown, V.P. Technical Operations at QuadTech, along with James Conrad, an independent EMC consultant, and Frank O’Brien, a principle of O’Brien Compliance Management, authored an article featured in the August issue of Conformity Magazine. “What’s New in EMC Standards for Medical Devices” discusses changes in EMC standards for medical devices.
