Marlboro, MA – April 22, 1999 - QuadTech, Inc., formerly GenRad Instruments, introduces the Series 2100/2200 Automatic Transformer Test System with matrix scanner for individual or sequential measurements on devices with multiple connections. The Series 2100/2200 is designed for fast production testing of transformers, coils, motors and relays with measurement capability of inductance, turns ratio, dc winding resistance, mutual capacitance, and other parameters critical to the operation of these devices.

A unique feature to the Series 2100/2200 LCR meter, capacitance meter, inductance meter and impedance meter is its matrix scanner module, which extends the units four-terminal connections to the transformer or coil under test. The pin configuration for this matrix can be customized to the user’s device from the front panel keypad, where the operator can quickly program a transformer’s primary and secondary connections. This eliminates the need for an auxiliary scanner, computer control or complex programming routines.

The Model 2100 capacitance meter, LCR meter, inductance meter and impedance mter is a basic transformer tester for measuring the most common transformer parameters, such as inductance, inductance leakage, turns-ratio, dc winding resistance and phase.

The Model 2200 builds on the 2100 capabilities with the addition of inductance, capacitance, resistance (LCR) and impedance (Z) measuring functions necessary for more detail component analysis, pass/fail sorting and statistics.

All units include a large, easy to read LCD display, measurement capability to 200kHz, choice of measurement speeds and test setup storage/recall for quick and easy startup. For automated operation, remote control or datalogging, the tester comes standard with RS-232, printer, and handler interfaces; an optional IEEE-488 interface is also available.
