QUADTECH SELLS CLASSIC PRODUCT LINE TO IET LABS
Original GenRad Standards and Instrumentation Product Line Sold to IET as QuadTech Focuses on Future Growth

Maynard, MA - February 15, 2000 - QuadTech, Inc. announces that it has sold its "Classic Product Line" (CPL) to Long Island-based IET Labs, Inc. The CPL product line, which consists mainly of Precision LCR Standards and Decades, Manual Capacitance Bridges, Stroboscopes and Acoustic Measurement Devices, represents a portion of the products acquired by QuadTech from GenRad in 1991.

Over the past nine years, QuadTech has expanded its product offerings to include Electrical Safety Testers, in addition to its long-standing line of LCR Meters, Digibridges, and other passive-component testers. These product areas will continue to be the main focus of QuadTech's business. QuadTech will continue in LCR meters, Hipot testers and more in the electrical safety test and measurement equipment manufacturing.

For many years, IET Labs has been a competitor of QuadTech and GenRad in the LCR Standards-and-Decades area, as well as complementing those lines with a wide variety of supporting and associated products, electrical safety test and measurement equipment. IET, which specializes in instrumentation, calibration and metrology products, plans to expand and grow the CPL products along with their existing lines.

Almost all of the QuadTech employees who are involved with the CPL line will be joining IET at their recently acquired Newton, Mass. location, which will handle all phases of manufacturing, test and calibration. These employees have many years of experience, from their start at General Radio/ GenRad, to the present. Their skill and experience in building and servicing will carry over to maintain the same quality and reliability these products have always been known for. IET plans to restore and grow the market position that the Classic Product Line has had in the past, while maintaining the wider choice that has always been provided by IET products. IET will pay particular attention to customers' specialized needs. IET will provide sales, maintenance, and customer support for all current products and all products which are currently in use by customers.
