Description
The Sentinel IIIa-16 System provides complete Electrical Safety Testing to IEC60601-1 and IEC60601-2-49 (Multi-functional Patient Monitoring Equipment). This system saves time by scanning patient connections for leakage current without powering down the medical device. The Sentinel IIIa-16 System's soft start/stop capability permits PC-based medical devices to boot up/shut down before starting leakage tests and removing mains power.
The Sentinel IIIa-16 System Configuration can accommodate Class I, Class II and internally-powered medical devices with the following specifications:

Mains power input up to 800VA, 0-300Vac @ 15-1kHz

Up to 16 B, BF or CF patient connections

Up to 4 Signal Inputs/Signal Outputs (SIP/SOP)
Reduce Operator Intervention: F-Type leakage current, mains-to-patient hipot, multi-point hipot and ground bond tests can be performed without the need for operator to connect/disconnect cables during the tests. The operator does not need to make P/F judgments, record test results, make process deviations, select the test or interface with multiple pieces of test equipment.
800VA Programmable AC Source: Provides the capability to perform earth (line), enclosure or patient leakage current measurements at different mains voltages and frequencies.
CaptivATE provides the Sentinel IIIa-16 System with the capability to: create test sequences, capture data, bar code scanning of device model and serial number, and automatic recall of test setup based upon model number. All test data is saved into a database for trending and analysis.
