1900 Family of LCR Testers and Inductance Meters Meets European Union Directives for EMC and Low Voltage

QUADTECH'S NEW PASSIVE COMPONENT TESTERS APPROVED FOR CE MARK

Maynard, MA - January 3, 2001 - QuadTech announced today that its NEW family of LCR meters and impedance meter instruments has been approved for CE marking, which is required on all products shipped into the European Union (EU). The CE Mark is a declaration that the product meets the latest applicable EU Directives, under which product testing must be performed by an accredited testing laboratory to meet the EMC Directive for electromagnetic emissions and immunity, and the Low Voltage Directive for safety. Like many of QuadTech's other passive component testers and electrical safety testers, which already carry the CE Mark, this new family of impedance meter and inductance meter instrumentation can now be accepted by international companies and the European market.

The family presently consists of the Model 1910 Inductance Analyzer and 1920 Precision LCR Meter, with an expanded line of units planned. The 1900 series is a new generation of high-performance LCR testers, inductance meters and impedance meters specifically designed for fast throughput in automated production testing of resistive, capacitive, and inductive components and materials.

Boasting features such as measurement of 14 impedance parameters, 0.1% accuracy, programmable test frequencies 20 Hz to 1MHz, DC resistance measurements, high throughput sequential testing and monitoring of AC or DC current and voltage, makes for the highest performance impedance measuring instrument on the market within its price range. The 1900 LCR meter, impedance meter and inductance meter models are ideal for applications where accuracy and a broad frequency range are required on a variety of components.

As with many of QuadTech's instruments, the design of the 1900 can be configured for Application Specific Testing Solutions (ASTS), whereby the unit is factory customized in hardware or software to meet a customer's unique or changing test requirements.
