QuadTech was established in March of 1991 with the purchase of the Precision Instrument Division of GenRad. The products and people joining QuadTech from GenRad at that time represented a long and successful heritage going back to 1915 when GenRad was founded. QuadTech has continued to build on that reputation by becoming a leader in the Electrical Safety marketplace with the sole mission of Making the Customer Successful.

Throughout this reign of leadership in the electrical safety market space, QuadTech looked to Chroma ATE as a primary manufacturer of their hipot testers, safety analyzers, LCR meters and milliohmeters. This partnership was solidified in January of 2012 when the assets of QuadTech were purchased by Chroma Systems Solutions.

This acquisition has created a comprehensive one stop resource of power conversion test instrumentation and automated test systems, as well as safety test equipment throughout North and South America including new products and technologies targeted at emerging commercial and defense, solar, EV/Automotive and LED markets.
